networking - Replay Captured RTP to Stream to Audio and Network at the same Time
We're currently experimenting with different VoIP solutions and are analyzing, how delays are forming.
For this, we're trying to split the experienced delays into sender to network delay and network to receiver delay.
We're measuring Mouth to Ear Delay with the classic Method: record, when the actual sound is played, transmit it over VoIP, and record, when it's played by the receivers speakers. We're also capturing all the RTP Streams in the network with Wireshark
Our idea to test the network-to-sender-delay was to simultaneously stream the captured RTP-Stream to the the network, and at the same time, play the audio in the RTP stream, while it's serialized to the network.
This way, we could again record the audio from the capturing laptop and the call-receiver and could therefore measure the delay between network and receiver.
Problem is, we can't find any tool, which would support that. So we're hoping, some of you guys had some similar problem and have a solution for our approach. Or would you recommend to write a specific tool to achieve our goal?
Thanks in advance
